FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Here are the top questions our clients ask before getting started.
What is the minimum height for a glass pool fence in BC?
The BC Building Code requires pool enclosures to reach a minimum of 1500 mm (approximately 59 inches). Some municipalities, including Abbotsford, specify a lower minimum of 1200 mm. Tenmar installs to the applicable code for your location.
What is the difference between frameless and semi-frameless glass pool fencing?
Frameless glass pool fencing uses spigots mounted to the deck with no visible posts between panels. Semi-frameless glass pool fencing uses aluminum posts spaced at a maximum of 42 inches to carry the structural load. Both use 12 mm glass panels. The choice typically comes down to site conditions, aesthetics, and budget.
What does a glass pool fence cost in BC?
Frameless glass pool fence installation typically ranges from $300 to $400 per linear foot. Semi-frameless systems range from $250 to $350 per linear foot. Final pricing depends on your pool perimeter length, surface type, grade conditions, and gate count. A detailed quote is provided after the on-site measurement.
Do you handle the permit applications and inspections?
Yes. Tenmar submits required documentation, coordinates with inspectors, and schedules the final inspection. All permitting is handled in-house without subcontractors.
